Daily Release Schedule

  • Each day we will follow this schedule:

    2:55pm – Bus Riders (including daycare vans/buses) & Walkers Will Be Released

    3:00pm – All Others Will Be Released

    Guidelines For Students:

    Bus Riders & Daycare Students will be escorted by adults to the South parking area.  This area is designated for bus or daycare parking only.  Daycare vans are asked to arrive no later than 2:55pm. 

    o    Students in this category are required to ride the bus/van unless timely notice is provided by the parent/guardian.

    Walkers are to find any siblings & immediately leave the campus.  Adults will be stationed strategically throughout the campus to ensure a safe and orderly process.

    Students who are being picked up by parents (Parent Pick-Ups) will file out of the building by class and form separate lines facing the West circle drive.  When the student identifies his/her parent, or designee, in the circle drive, they will be released by the attending teacher.  Students will not be allowed to go to parents who are parked on the street or across the fence.

    Guidelines For Parents:

    • PLEASE remember to inform and remind your student(s) of what they are expected to do when school ends each day (walk, ride bus, go to daycare, etc.).  Some students have no idea what to do which necessitates the school contacting parents.  Thank you for your help in this area!
    • Please do not pull into the South parking lot to pick up your student(s).
    • Please pick up your student from the West circle drive at 3:00pm.
      • The West circle drive is a NO PARKING ZONE.  Violators will be towed at owner’s expense.
    • If you choose to park on the street or across the fence, you must come and pick up your student in person as students will not be released to these areas. 
      • Students not boarding the buses/vans in the South parking lot or entering a car in the West circle drive MUST be escorted from the campus due to the dangerous situation created by the backing up of vehicles, tight parking, and narrow streets.  Thank you very much for your cooperation in this matter of safety.
    • If you need to meet/speak with a teacher afterschool, please do not park in the West circle drive, or in the South lot.
    • The North parking area will not be used as a pick up area—the gate will be locked by 2:45pm.
    • Please remember that the speed limit around the school is 25mph!  Your attention to this is of utmost importance in order to avoid a possible disaster.
    • Students are to be picked up by 3:00pm.  We do realize that circumstances can arise that would force a delay in your arrival.  In the event that you are delayed, for the safety of our students and in order to respect the time of our staff, students who are not picked up by 3:15pm will be escorted inside the building and must be picked up in person.
    • Parents who are consistently late for picking up their child will be required to meet with the principal and/or a social worker. 

    Please know that these policies are in place for no other reason than to provide an orderly process to school release each day which will ensure the safety of all involved.  Your assistance is greatly appreciated with this entire process.
