Mr. Milton Bowens Jr. began his career in public education 16 years ago as a history teacher at Northwest Classen High School in OKCPS. He holds a Master's of Education in Educational Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mr. Bowens also served as a program and curriculum specialist with the University of Oklahoma's K20 Center for Educational and Community Renewal , where he partnered with schools across the state to improve leadership development, teacher growth, and student support and success. Most recently, he spent 5 years as Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Chickasha Public Schools, working to advance instructional excellence and student achievement. Now returning to OKCPS as principal of Classen SAS High School At Northeast, Mr. Bowens is honored to serve the Classen community and looks forward to leading the school to greater heights.
