okcpsFrequently Asked Questions (F.A.Qs) for EES

    Q: What is EES?

A: Extended Educational Services (EES) is a partnership between community organizations and OKCPS to fulfill Oklahoma’s state law requirements by providing students' educational needs within a nontraditional setting.

Q: How do I know if my student was enrolled in an EES site?

A: Prent/Guardian: There are EES programs at St. Anthony's Hospital. Integris Spencer Hospital, Juvenile Detention Center, County Jail, Speck Homes, and Positive Changes (OKC). School Administration: Under the enrollment tab on Infinite Campus, their current school will be listed as EES (732).

Q: How are students referred to EES?

A: Students are NOT referred by OKCPS. Students can be referred by the court system, parent/guardian(s), Department of Human Services (DHS), Doctor/PCP, Therapist/Psychiatrist, or OJA/OJB.

Q: What happens after a student is discharged/released from an EES site?

A: If your student is returning to an Oklahoma City Public School, a Transition meeting will take place between the student, the parent/guardian, and the school team to develop a plan for successful re-entry. If your student is returning to another school district, contact the school administration team or school counselor.

Q: What is a Transition meeting?

A: A Transition meeting is the coordination of information-sharing between a hospital/group home/correctional facility and a student’s neighborhood school for the development of a Transition plan.
